With over two decades of experience as an educator, nonprofit executive, and systems-change leader, Teshanda Middleton serves as Chief Executive Officer of Ready for School, Ready for Life. Her leadership is grounded in a deep commitment to building equitable, integrated early childhood systems that center families, close opportunity gaps, and drive generational impact.
Prior to joining Ready Ready, she led Communities In Schools of Memphis through a period of transformational growth—expanding services across dozens of schools, launching workforce development programs for young adults, and advancing family-centered supports through strategic partnerships. Teshanda is nationally recognized for her work in collective impact, policy advocacy, and community-rooted innovation. She is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in Leadership and Public Policy and brings a visionary yet practical approach to aligning cross-sector efforts for lasting change.
