Connie Colter has served her community for many years. She has served as Vice President for her community board for the the Greensboro Housing Authority. She has served as a board member for YWCA Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies. She has also served as the Policy chairperson for the Ray Warren Early Head Start Center. She is a graduate of the Ready Ready Community Organizing and Family Issues training.
Inspired with the gift to help others, she is pursuing a degree in Special Education and Criminal Justice at Guilford Technical Community College. In the future, she dreams of opening a school for children in the juvenile justice system to improve their educational opportunities.
