Joanna Smith joined the Ready Ready team in 2026 and is passionate about advancing early learning and family engagement across the community. She brings a strong background in early childhood systems, family engagement, and collaborative community work.

Before joining Ready Ready, Joanna served as the Early Education Manager for the Iredell Partnership for Young Children. In that role, she oversaw the county’s NC Pre-Kindergarten programs and provided technical assistance to early learning providers, strengthening program quality and supporting educators.

Joanna’s experience spans program design, implementation, and capacity-building for organizations that serve children and families. She has also contributed her time and expertise to several local boards and committees. As a consultant, she has helped multiple organizations enhance their sustainability and long-term impact.

Joanna holds a BA in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She also earned the Family Development Credential from Duke University.
