Embed continuous improvement orientation within the local early childhood system.
Using data and evidence to deliver higher performance
Our charge is to work with key partners in the early childhood system to maximize impact through data-driven decision making. While some data is available about pregnancy/birth outcomes, population-level data about Guilford County’s infants, toddlers and preschoolers isn’t readily available.
This work has three key parts:
Data systems. Key partners are joining together to build a data infrastructure that will help the community make good decisions about investments in dollars and human resources when it comes to getting and keeping infants, toddlers, and preschoolers developmentally on track.
Understanding how investments are currently being used. It’s also critical to understand what current investments (federal, state and local) are being made in Guilford County’s youngest children and their families, so we can align our resources and maximize every dollar invested to reach our community’s goal of having each child ready for kindergarten.
Building capacity and excellence.
Stay tuned for more on this priority as the work evolves.
